Reading Eagle Theater @ the Sovereign Center, Reading.
6:30PM
PRICE RANGE: $65-$25
There will be a BUY ONE GET ONE for the first 500 patrons. The hybrid boxing/MMA event will mix the two disciplines in one exciting night of non-stop action. Both a boxing ring and a MMA "cage" will be installed in the spacious Sovereign Center for the event. King's Promotion's first boxing/mixed martial arts event last May at the Sovereign Center was a huge success and they hope to make this event even bigger and better.
The boxing portion will consist of six professional bouts, headlined by Reading's own rising heavyweight prospect Travis Kauffman, who will face tough ring veteran Zuri Lawrence. Lawrence (24-15-4) has faced many of today's top heavyweights. Kauffman (18-1, 15KOs) is coming off his entertaining, but controversial loss to Tony Grano Sept. 18th on Showtime's national TV broadcast of Shobox: The Next Generation. The boxing portion will also include Reading favorites Julio Cesar Matthews, Keenan Collins and Lucian Gonzalez.
The MMA portion will consist of one professional bout featuring Orwigsburg's Jim Bova fighting at 155 lbs. and ten amateur bouts with local fighters from The Cage MMA Academy & combatants from the surrounding tri-state area.
